The Acropolis of Thesteia is located about 2 kilometres from the village of Ano Vlochos in the prefecture of Aitoloakarnania. The castle of the acropolis is built on a hill, at an altitude of 700 meters and has a unique view of Lake Trichonida and the green landscape in front of it. In the past it was surrounded by strong walls, had a total perimeter of 4,000 metres and occupied a special strategic position. Today only one pillar survives. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket. Visitable hours: Free Access.
