The Holy Monastery of Vlochos, which is dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, is located on the north side of the settlement of the same name and is 18 kilometers from Agrinio. It is a beautiful stone monastery that was founded in the late 12th and early 13th century and was destroyed in 1834, while today it reopens with a monk and belongs to the Holy Diocese of Aetolia and Acarnania. In it is preserved the image of the Virgin of the Most Beautiful, but also many sacred relics. This point of interest is Plain and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round.
