Alifeira is a green picturesque village in the province of Olympia in the prefecture of Ileia. It is located at the northern foot of Mount Minthi at an altitude of 405 meters, while it is 36 kilometers east of Krestena and 15 kilometers northwest of Andritsaina. South of the semi-mountainous settlement, on the mountain Nerositsa is the homonymous castle with the extensive ruins of an ancient Arcadian city, known as Alifera. The oldest name of the village was Rogozio until 1927, when it was renamed Alifeira, due to its proximity to the ancient city. In 2011 the population was about 82 permanent residents. This point of interest is Flat and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is accessible through public transport.
