Avgeion
Avgeio is a lowland settlement of Ilia south of the river Pineios. It is adjacent to Ancient Ilida, Havari and Sosti, while it is 12 km away from Amaliada. According to the 2011 census, the population amounts to 325 inhabitants, who are mainly engaged in the cultivation of vegetables, olives, cereals and citrus fruits. During the Turkish occupation, but also during its annexation to the Greek state in 1835, the settlement was called Bouchioti. This point of interest is Flat and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is accessible through public transport.
