Marathea or Marathia is a lowland village in the Peripheral Unit of Ileia at an altitude of 20 meters. It is located next to the west coast of the Peloponnese in the Ionian Sea, a few kilometers from Pyrgos and Amaliada. It has the central Church of the Assumption of the Virgin and a beautiful beach, with a dense pine forest. In 2011 the village had about 260 inhabitants. This point of interest is Flat and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket.
