Celebrating the 200-year-old milestone, we aimed to transform emotion into knowledge and submitted "21 Poems Set to Music for '21" written by Greek authors, drawing their inspiration from our people's struggle for freedom.
They are either:
1) national anthems of the bard of freedom Rigas Feraios, preserved with the original lyrics of Rigas and the melodies, as they were sung at the time,
2) patriotic songs of Greek poets and musicians of the 19th century, from the colonies of the Diaspora and the Ionian Islands, which refer to landmark events of the Revolution and,
3) texts and folk songs of the era of the struggle of ‘21, which, became ideal sources of inspiration for contemporary Greek composers.
