The anniversary event "March 14th (1821)", is a coordinated and multi-participatory organization of the settlements of Aigeira (1997-2010) and is dedicated to the armed action of the inhabitants, Priests and Fighters with special emphasis: the first -revolutionary events of the Struggle for Independence of 1821-1828.
This anniversary event will be held as the "Revival of the First Rifles of the Revolution" (especially the armed actions of March 14, 1821), those that made the beginning of the Revolution inevitable.
Furthermore, the event will complement the planned event "Portes Agridiou", of the neighboring settlements of Akrata, as the two events historically coincide.
The intention of all participating Cultural Associations is the anniversary event for the 200 Years since the Revolution of 1821, to be an institution in the chronicles.
